It's worth about $300.00 plus (if it's a new bulb) $100 = $400.

That was the 3rd generation of what is now in it's (I believe) 4th incarnation (the PT-AE-900), and some would say the 6th in the form of the PT-AX200. It was, and is, a good projector.

It was the first projector I ever saw working ... and I was reasonably impressed but found it a bit too washed out (low contrast) for my taste and eventually bought a Canon LCOS model.

As can be expected it is not as good as the latest versions, and the original list price of $3000 had fallen to a street price of about $1500 when it was discontinued in 2006.

A 60" screen isn't worth much (may $50) ... and it's really too small for a projector like this (a 90"-100" is supportable).

A new bulb would cost about $300 (but refurbished projectors should have a new bulb).

The street price for a model AE-900 is about $1500 ... if you could find one.

Note that new 720p projectors are now selling for under $1000 (although the Panasonic LCD models offer more flexibility). That said, the Panasonic AX200 (See 2nd link for specs) is selling new for $1300.

See the link for results of a search ... prices asked between $900 and $2200 (but the stores with higher prices are dreaming in technicolor!)

I'd be surpised if anyone would pay more than $800-$900 for the setup you describe. But at that price it might be a reasonable deal.

Personally, I'd look at the PT-AX200U
